Dr. Pornpisanu Promsivapallop is an Associate Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism at Prince of Songkla University. He holds a Ph.D. in Hospitality Management from the University of Surrey, U.K., a Master of Business from the University of Queensland, Australia, and a Bachelor of Business from Monash University, Australia. Additionally, he is a Senior Fellow of the UK Professional Standards Framework.
Dr. Promsivapallop plays a prominent role in regional tourism development as the National Representative for the Asia Pacific Tourism Association and Vice President of the ASEAN Tourism Research Association. He is also a member of the Consortium for Global Sustainability. His scholarly contributions include 30 academic journal articles in Scopus/ISI-listed publications and two book chapters. He serves on multiple editorial boards, including the Asia Pacific Journal of Tourism Research.
A passionate international collaborator, Dr. Promsivapallop has contributed significantly to three Erasmus+ Capacity Building Projects, advancing global tourism education and sustainability. His dedication to social empowerment in the tourism sector was recently recognized with the 2023 Australian Alumni Association (Thailand) Award: Regional Champion Social Empowerment Award, highlighting his impact on fostering positive societal change.
