Since 2016, the APacCHRIE Lifetime Achievement Award is annually presented at the conference to a distinguished individual with outstanding contributions to the hospitality and tourism industry and education in the Asia-Pacific region as well as to APacCHRIE.
The 2024 APacCHRIE Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Prof. Ilsun Yang, Professor Emeritus of Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea to her outstanding contribution to hospitality and foodservice education, research and policy making in Korea.

The award for 2019 was presented to Dr. Jennifer Cronin, President of the Wharf Hotels Management Limited:
The presentation of the awards had come to a halt during the COVID periods from 2020-2022.
At the 2023 APacCHRIE Conference in Clark, The Philippines, the 2023 APacCHRIE Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Ms. Sylvia Chung, Chief Business Impact Officer, Chinachem Group.
