Prof. Vik Nair is currently the President of DISTED College in Penang, Malaysia. The College is fully owned by Wawasan Open University, Malaysia. He was the former Dean of Graduate Studies and Research at the University of The Bahamas for almost five years. Previously, he was the Director of Research & Development and Professor at Taylor’s University, Malaysia for 19 years. He has more than 25 years’ experience in higher education, sustainable tourism, responsible tourism, rural tourism and environmental management.  He has served in many of the International CHRIE Sub-Committees. He was also the Executive Board of the Tourism Educators Association of Malaysia and Malaysian Ecotourism Association.
