Dr. Hyun-Jung (Helen) Choi is an Associate Professor in the hotel management department of the tourism division at Backseok University, Cheonan-si, South Korea. She received her doctoral degree in Hotel and Tourism Management from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research interests focus on human resource management, service management in the hospitality industry, and tourist behavior in tourism. She has served as a reviewer for the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and Tourism Management for over 10 years. Additionally, she has held significant roles as the head of the academic committee and editorial board member in major academic associations in the hotel and tourism sector in South Korea for over a decade. She has been selected as a young and mid-career researcher and has been awarded competitive research grants by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) for many years. Also, she has received Best Paper awards from major academic journals in South Korea.
