Edmund Goh serves as Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Business) at Stanley College, Institute of Higher Education, and holds the title of Honorary Adjunct Senior Research Fellow in Hotel and Tourism at Bond Business School, Bond University, Australia.

Edmund’s career is distinguished by a series of senior roles, including Associate Professor, Associate Dean, Deputy Head of School, Head of Academic Studies, and Deputy Research Director at esteemed institutions such as Bond University, Edith Cowan University, and Torrens University Australia. From 2019 to 2022, he was appointed Vice Chair of The Council for Australasian Tourism and Hospitality Education (CAUTHE).

An award-winning educator, Edmund has garnered numerous prestigious accolades, such as the Vice-Chancellor’s Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, the Emerging Researcher Excellence Award, and the Early Mid Career Researcher Highlight Award. His significant impact on international education was further recognised with the national StudyPerth Australia Best Friend Award.

Edmund has published over 70 journal articles in leading publications like Tourism Management, International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Sustainable Tourism Research, and Journal of Cleaner Production.

Edmund serves as the Associate Editor for both the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the Journal of Teaching in Travel and Tourism. He also contributes to 10 editorial boards in the fields of Hospitality and Tourism, including the Journal of Vacation Marketing and Tourism Management Perspectives.

Edmund has also contributed to APacCHRIE through the years by serving on the editorial board of the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education, and as Guest editor of special issues for Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Education, and the Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Research.

Dedicated to providing students with authentic learning experiences, he ensures they are prepared for industry readiness. His research philosophy emphasises the importance of industry relevance and the critical connection between academia and industry.
