Dr. Arinya Pongwat received her degree in Doctor of Hotel and Tourism Management from School of Hotel and Tourism Management, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong SAR, China; Master of Science in Recreation Management (International Tourism Management) from San Jose State University, California, USA.; and Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, Faculty of Humanities, Chiang Mai University, Thailand. She is currently working as a lecturer at the department of Modern Management and Information Technology, College of Arts, Media and Technology, Chiang Mai University, as well as acting as the Director of Chiang Mai University Corporate Communication and Alumni Relations Center.

Her interest areas are tourism management, smart tourism, digital marketing, wellness tourism, tourism crisis communication, tourism experience, and data-driven CRM. She has published in the top journals, such as APJTR and IJTC.
